The group was established many moons ago and has a simple philosophy.

We welcome runners of any standard, from complete beginners with brand new

running shoes to old hands with wise tales and weathered smiles.

From trail running to road running to the odd 100 yards here and there, the whole thing is about mutual support, encouragement and having a giggle.

We have over 1 million members worldwide and we meet come rain or shine.
We recognise that everyone's unique and has to start somewhere.
Whether you want to lose weight, try to beat a PB or just fancy a laugh while your having a run then pop on down.

It's not so much about the running as about the cakes really.
It's a long story....
