A massive well done to everyone who completed the Xmas Pudding Run.
The temperature was the coldest ever recorded anywhere in the world, ever. Well, maybe not, but you get the gist. 'Billy Whiz Brendan' did an incredible time followed closely by Jerry 'Speedy' smith. The results are available from the link below. (You may have to copy and paste into your browser). We all enjoyed a mulled wine and mince pies later. Rob actually camped over before and after the race!     http://www.ukresults.net/2005/langpud.html

To really enjoy your Christmas Pud, why not run for it. There is a run in Langdale (Cumbria) at noon on Dec 18th. The scenery is meant to be fantastic. So, if you want to feel as though you've really worked for your Christmas dinner then come along. The more the merrier. Click on the link and send off the application form- these have to be in by Dec 11th. If there is enough takers we can arrange transport between us. (there is Hot mulled wine and mince pies in a local tavern afterwards!)

P.S. There is one spare space available for this run if anyone still needs a place. Let Tony know 0161 881 8064 or

Below are some pictures from the Antrobus cabbage canter. We all won a cabbage and Johny beat his last race time by 7 minutes! All you can now smell in Chorlton is boiled cabbage. It was a local event with bits and bobs going on and as you see it was a scortching day...

Coaches'R'us July 2nd

Emma & Tony went on a level 1 coaching course on 2nd July at the Mcr City athletics stadium. It covered topics relating to coaching  groups in all aspects of athletics.Below is a shot from the classroom. Hive of activity as you can see/

Below are some pictures from the Mcr stadium 10K June 2005

It was incredibly hot, too hot, something like 105 degrees, but we all  managed to finish. Bridget  almost broke some of Einstein's laws by actually finishing before she started.

The results can be found on this link....    http://www.theresults.co.uk/manchester_10k_results.htm

Below are some pictures from the Running Posture / Pilates class held May 2005.
The class was held after the Wednesday run so everyone had worked up a sweat and the first thing we needed to do was take off our trainers, so you can imagine how brave the trainers was!
Everyone enjoyed the session and learnt something new about  good posture and how it can help with running.

Below are some pictures from the Dunham Massey 5k 27th May 2005.

It was hot and there were a lot of serious contenders there.

We did our bit though but  it was hard work after the Mcr 10k...... at  least the children had fun!
