THURSDAY REPSFEEL THE BURN
A unofficial clandestine offshoot of Chorlton Runners, where you’ll be subject to a tortuous amount of repetitions, under the watchful eyes of Colin and Ben.
This group is for runners who are looking to take their running and cardio capacity to the next level, with a group of similar ability runners.
We meet at 7.15 on Thursday nights, however the location of the runs varies, so please contact us before turning up.
We are lucky enough to count 2:25 marathon runners in our ranks, but typical minimum ability levels are outlined below, and if you’re targeting a 2:45 marathon you’ll be in plenty of company:
Men – Sub 3 hour marathon, 85 minute half, 38 minute 10k, 18 minute 5k.
Ladies – 3.15-3.30 marathon, 95 minute half, 43-45 minute 10k, 20-21 minute 5k.

Please note – these are not officially coached/club sessions, you’ll be responsible for your own safety at all times, and you will not be covered by our UKA insurance policy. As scary as the groups may sound, we are a hugely welcoming group full of like minded people, so if you’re wondering if Chorlton Runners will be able to cater for you on a competitive level, then please get in touch and give us a go.
Typical sessions range from:
6 x 1000m (120s rest)
2 x (8x400m with 60s rest), 240s between sets
1 x 800m (180s), 4 x 400m (120s), 4 x 300m (90s), 4 x 200m (60s)
3 x (2 x 1mile (60s) 400m) (180s between sets)
